Mock interview. You're interviewing for a data analyst job on a jobs marketplace team. The interviewer shares three tables: job_posts, job_views (one row each time a member opens a job) and applications (one row per member per job). They ask two questions.

Step 1: The headline numbers

"How did jobs posted in Q2 2026 (April to June) do? Give me one row: the number of jobs, their total views, their total applications, and applications per job."

Expected output

  • One row; applications_per_job rounded to 2 decimals; jobs with no views or applications still count as jobs

Example of the shape (made-up values):

jobs views applications applications_per_job
200 3000 500 2.50
